The tips are smooth, straight, and free of burrs to create a consistent, controlled grip on the ring. A crimp at the end of each jaw permanently holds the tips in place. The two forged handles are permanently bolted together and spring-loaded. The spring is oiled and housed inside the joint, keeping it hidden and protected while providing smooth, quiet operation. The joint is not adjustable or serviceable. The forged handles get wider in the center and are coated with vinyl grips to improve control and comfort.
